El Salvador's most spectacular cloud forest at 2,418 meters — the point where El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras meet, known as El Trifinio. Seven-hundred-year-old trees draped in moss and orchids. The Orchid Garden has over 70 species. Quetzals, ocelots, and white-tailed deer have all been spotted here. The cloud forest core zone closes May–October. 4x4 strongly recommended.
