A sacred lagoon in a volcanic crater at 2,900 meters, almost always wrapped in mist. For the Mam people it's ceremonial ground: fire altars and offerings ring its shores, and in May the most important rituals of the year take place here. The 2-to-3-hour climb winds through pine and oak forest. A place of silence and respect, not just scenery.
