El Salvador's most important nature reserve: 4,000 hectares of tropical forest with more living diversity than many entire countries. 5,000 species of butterflies (more than all of Europe combined), 285 species of birds and 100 mammals. Quetzals have been spotted here.
"El Imposible is El Salvador's greatest natural secret. The name comes from how impossible it was to cross with mules before the modern roads. Today the local guides know every trail by heart."
