Cenote Ik Kil, just 3 km from Chichén Itzá, is one of Yucatán's most impressive cenotes. With 60 meters in diameter and 40 meters deep, its jade-colored waters are surrounded by hanging roots and cascading vegetation. The Maya considered it sacred and used it for ritual ceremonies.
