Juayúa's "Infiernillos": geothermal fumaroles and hot-water pools accessible from Finca Portezuelo Park. They're formed by the same volcanic activity of the Izalco–Santa Ana system.
"The Infiernillos are the volcano's natural thermometer. The water rises hot from the ground, there are sulfur vapors, and the surrounding landscape is mountain forest. You can pair them with the Seven Waterfalls on the same day."
How do you get to the Infiernillos de Juayúa?
From Finca Portezuelo Park, Juayúa. About a 15-minute walk. Bus 205 + 249, same as Juayúa.
How can you combine the Infiernillos with other plans?
Ideal day combo: 7 Waterfalls (morning) + Chorros de la Calera (midday) + Infiernillos de Juayúa (afternoon) + Food Festival (afternoon). The fullest day on the Ruta de las Flores.
