A kilometer-and-a-half green strip that splits the center of Sapporo in two. In February it transforms: the Snow Festival fills the park with 200 monumental sculptures of ice and snow, some the size of buildings. In autumn comes the food of Hokkaidō; in winter, the lights. The heart of the northern capital.
💡 Getting there: Ōdōri Station (Namboku, Tōzai, Tōhō subway lines). 🕐 24/7. 💴 Free. ❄️ Sapporo Snow Festival (Yuki Matsuri): first week of February, ~200 ice and snow sculptures (including monumental ones). 🌽 Autumn Fest: September–October, regional Hokkaidō food. 🎄 White Illumination: Nov–Feb. 📡 Sapporo TV Tower at the east end (¥1,000 observation deck at 90 m).
