How do you get to Playa El Sunzal?
The same bus routes as El Tunco (102, 107, 177). From El Tunco you can walk 15 min along the shore at low tide. By car it's at Km 43.5 of the Carretera del Litoral.
What surfer level is El Sunzal for?
Intermediate level. The wave is long and consistent, ideal for surfers who already know how but want to improve. The "outside" can be demanding with a big swell.
Does it have an accessible beach or just restaurants?
Some beachfront restaurants charge ~$2 for a day's access, but it comes with a chair and service included. The beach itself is public. At certain times of year the shore fills with rocks — the water stays perfect.
